2010 — Now, Portland Monthly Magazine Web Intern — Portland, OR
Responsible for uploading magazine content to the website; writing original content for the site, including blogs and events listings; assisting editors in conceptualizing and executing web exclusives such as slide shows and video/audio content; participating in team brainstorming meetings; and assisting with some administrative tasks. Additional opportunity to write for the magazine as needed and pitch stories for the magazine.

2007 — 2010, Auto Insurance Medical Claims Representative— Tigard, OR
One of three representatives that handle the most difficult medical claims within Oregon, for an auto insurance company. Handled high liability, massive injury claims. Negotiated directly with families and attorneys, face to face, on a daily basis. Communicating also with their physicians to obtain up to date information on files. Customer service and claims accuracy a top priority.

2005, Bus Project Politicorps Intern — Portland, OR
Gained valuable campaign management training, public speaking and debate skills. Conducted field work with partner programs (SOLV, Stand) to directly impact state and local races by working to increase urban youth voter registration and organized Bus trips to swing districts to canvass for progressive candidates.

2005 — 2006, Student Computing Facilities Lab Assistant — Corvallis, OR
Served the computing needs of OSU students, staff, and faculty on campus. Over 250 Windows and Macintosh computers located in main facility and six computer classrooms.

Made web-pages and PDF files for bi-monthly and seasonal magazine that served Oregon agricultural community.
